Finally a Miami hidden bar that oozes authenticity, class, and just the right amount of flair. Los Altos authentic Miami Speakeasy is a great stop when you want to avoid the club hype on South Beach.
Oh Miami, you were just not our cup of tea unfortunately. We really had been looking forward to was Bodega Taqueria y Tequila. The front part of the restaurant was awesome, Bodega Grungy Hidden Miami Speakeasy through the hidden entrance, not so much.
While not exactly hidden, this hip Reykjavik bar with amazing food and original craft cocktails was the last drinking stop of our Iceland trip.
For a fun and quirky time, with great 80s music, and shining lights, don’t miss out on Pablo Discobar, Reykjavik’s Retro Hidden Bar. This slightly hidden bar up on the third floor of Burro restaurant in Reykjavík Iceland, has all the charm and spunk one could need in a night.
When you locate Dutch Kills in Long Island City, it will not look like you’d expect. There is a little neon “bar” sign outside of a grubby dive bar looking wall. If the sign is on you can go on in and find a completely different atmosphere inside.
For a city that has such a vast list of secret drinking dens, they can’t all be high brow. We have so many speakeasies picked to visit each trip to New York that we’ve had to become quite selective with where to stay and spend at least $17 a cocktail.
There are a lot of hidden bars popping up in China Town to try. Most are decent, but none top the mystery, craftmanship, and authenticity, as Apotheke. So no matter where you go in lower Manhattan, make sure you stop by for a tonic to heal your ailments from the professional mixologists at Apotheke.
Finding a speakeasy in Downtown Orlando is not an easy feat. The streets quickly become filled with rowdy college students lining up to get into the hottest clubs and night spots; and those of us who prefer a quieter, classier night out are not encouraged to stick around. Hanson’s Shoe Repair is very well hidden and requires multiple steps for entry.
Headed to Charleston we were surprised to find that this hipster foodie town did not have any legitimately hidden bars (none that we could discover anyway), so let us know if we failed and missed something. Even though there were no “speakeasies” to speak of, there were indeed delectable craft cocktail bars that fit our refined taste. One that particularly stood out was The Gin Joint.
The sophisticated glitz and glamor of Manhattan can best be found nestled near Gramercy park at Dear Irving. This chic hideaway is sister bar to Raines Law Room, another Manhattan favorite of ours, but where Raines is intimate in its darkness, Dear Irving sets the mood with passionate lighting, crystal curtains, and gold accents.
It’s not every day you get to relive a magical experience in a whole new way. When we heard that The Cauldron (which was originally just a tiny pop up bar in NYC for a limited time) was now upping the ante and creating a new master potions class, Potion Making 2.0, we jumped at the chance to experience it first!
If you’re looking to find the best NYC Speakeasy, you’ve come to the right place. The Big Apple is famous for having a growing number of speakeasies and hidden bars. Here are 12 of our favorites!
